Santos and Magdangal portray half-sisters meeting coming together due to a family tragedy. Along with their cousins (Iza Calzado and Rhian Ramos), they venture to the fabled Camiguin island and perform a seance to summon spirits for fun. Everything ends up in tragedy as a vengeful spirit is summoned. The movie then focuses on how the spirit terrorizes the cousins, along with their friends and colleagues.
I only have three problems with the movie: (1) Some plot holes in the story (What was the court scene in the beginning for? How were they able to escape some tight situations without getting hurt?) (2) Too much borrowing and derivations from established horror movies like The Ring,The Grudge and The Exorcist. (3) Rhian Ramos' acting. (You better see the movie to know what I mean.)
All in all, the craftsmanship of Director Topel Lee, coupled with good music scoring, saves the movie. The portrayal of Judy Ann Santos as an anti-heroine was a pleasant surprise.
